Attorney Lody Powers is a seasoned trial attorney with over a decade of litigation experience and has handled hundreds of criminal cases including DUI charges, Domestic Assault charges, and serious felony charges such as First Degree Murder charges and Aggravated Assault charges.

Lody began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Nashville, Tennessee, where she was named the first Latina Assistant District Attorney to serve in Davidson County Criminal Court. During her time as an Assistant District Attorney, Lody served on the Special Victims Trial Team, the Division II Trial Team, the Division VI Trial Team, and the Domestic Violence Team where she prosecuted some of the most serious cases handled by her office; including First Degree Murder cases, Child Sexual Abuse cases, Assault cases, Drug cases, and other serious felonies and crimes of violence.

Lody’s diverse and extensive experience as a former Assistant District Attorney arms her with exceptional knowledge and awareness of how police and detectives investigate criminal allegations, how prosecutors assess and prepare their cases, and the strategic tactics relied on by prosecutors in court and at trial that other criminal defense attorneys simply do not have insight into and cannot replicate.

Lody combines her unique wealth of knowledge and experience with her calm confidence to provide clients representation that is as fierce in fighting the criminal allegations made against them as it is compassionate to each client’s individualized needs and interests. She understands the importance of success inside the courtroom extends beyond the courthouse doors.
